Last week, it was announced that the Butler guard, Gordon Hayward, entered his name into the NBA draft. Although, Hayward hasn't hired an agent yet, so he is still eligible to return to college basketball. Everyone is curious as to what decision Gordon Hayward will make, and how it will affect the Butler basketball team next year, if he does decide to enter the NBA.
I don't know very much about college basketball and specifically Butler basketball, but from watching them in the NCAA tournament, I saw how well everyone worked together. They brought a sense of unity to their team, and the entire state of Indiana when they kept advancing farther into the tournament. Gordon Hayward was a big part of this Butler basketball team. He is very good, but I think, along with a lot of other people too, that he should stay another year or so to continually learn and become even better. And, who knows, maybe if he stayed, Butler could have another chance to win a NCAA title. My personal opinion is that he should stay, and get even better through the next year, and then go into the NBA.

I really wish this was something I know more about. I guess I'll do my best. Well, I think that Gordon Hayward should probably stay just a little bit longer, since he's obviously good (from what I hear.) I agree with Molly's statement that there's a better chance that Butler will get to the NCAA final if he stays. It would be an amazing comeback for the team.
ReplyDeleteI agree with the fact that Hayward should stay for one more year. I know that the prospect of entering the NBA early is very awesome but they should stay and make their team better. He brought his team together and he was very good. He isn't even guaranteed playing time in the NBA, but if he plays for Butler he will be a star player who will definatly play all season long.
ReplyDeleteI think Hayward should stay one more year. That would give him an extra year to mature and get his skills down. ALso Butler was good and losing Hayward will hurt. I honestly believed that they had a shot to win the CHampionship and now i dont think they can.
