Throughout the past week, we have heard numerous things about the Tiger Woods scandal. When the news came out about his bizarre car incident no one was really sure what was going on. Tiger then broke his silence by posting letter on his website admitting to his "transgressions". Now the question is where do we go from here?
When I first heard about his car crash, I was confused. When you put all the pieces together, it didn't make sense at all. Tiger kept avoiding the public by not saying anything at all. In my opinion, this was a wrong decision. Tiger drew more attention to himself by doing this. If Tiger would've said something at first, I doubt he would've been in the public spotlight, like he is now. When Tiger finally broke his silence, he asked for privacy. I felt that this was the right decision. He addressed the issue, but didn't share any of the details. I also think that people should do what he asked; leave him alone. Yes, he did some pretty horrible things that no one should be proud of. He's probably extremely embarrassed about it, and now everyone in the public eye knows about it. People should give Tiger the privacy he deserves and let him focus on how to fix the problem he has set up for himself. He needs to spend time with his family, like he said in his statement on his website. He shouldn't feel the need to explain anything else to the public. Hopefully, all this media attention will fade and Tiger can go back to being the well-respected athlete that he was made famous for in the first place. Until then, he's definitely put himself in a extremely deep bunker, that's going to take a lot time to get out of.
